Cardale Jones knows what it takes to beat Oregon.
This week, Ohio State selected the former quarterback and 2014 national champion to narrate the Oregon Game Trailer. As he did, the Ohio State legend reflected on the program's win over the Ducks in the 2014 College Football Playoff final, likening the 2024 Buckeyes' circumstances to the ones his team faced a decade ago.
"I remember it well," Jones said in the trailer. "More than just any game, it's a battle of legacy. The energy of the crowd and the intensity of the moment. This moment is not so different. You want to see greatness? You want to leave a legacy? It's time to let it all go. ... This journey is taking us down a new path, where the past has paved the road of greatness in the spirit of scarlet and gray."
Donovan Jackson, Josh Fryar, Lathan Ransom and Ryan Day also inspired confidence in the trailer.
"Best team in the country! The Ohio State Buckeyes! Fight on three — one, two, three, Fight!" Day shouted to end the video.
Ohio State and Oregon kick off at 7:30 p.m. EST on Saturday.
