After missing ESPN College GameDay for Miami vs. California last week, Lee Corso once again finds himself absent from the desk for this week's prime-time matchup between Ohio State and Oregon. However, his colleague and former OSU quarterback Kirk Herbstreit confirmed during the first hour of the show that Corso has picked the Bucks to take down the Ducks in Eugene this evening.

This would have served as the 42nd time in the show's history that Corso donned the Brutus Buckeye headgear in picking the winner of the weekend's featured showdown.

GameDay host Rece Davis opened the program this morning lamenting the absence of Corso, relaying that the longtime presence on the desk hopes "he gets back with us very soon," as well as that, "he wants to send his regards to his very good friend, The Duck."

Herbstreit noted that Corso felt very conflicted making this pick given his historical attachment to picking Ohio State on the show opposite Puddles serving as his favorite mascot. After announcing the news, the Oregon crowd erupted into a chorus of angry boos that ultimately evolved into chants of "f*** Ohio."

Corso currently finds himself in the middle of his 38th season doing College GameDay at 89 years old. He previously spent time away from the show last season for undisclosed "health issues." Herbstreit revealed in an Instagram Live feed a few days ago that Corso felt "a little bit under the weather" this week and would miss the show again as a result.
