Another crop of Ohio State athletes have completed their education and will be prepared to enter the working world when their sporting careers conclude.
Fifty Buckeyes earned their degrees at Ohio State's autumn commencement on Sunday, including eight football players who will start against Tennessee in the first round of the College Football Playoff. Those football players are Denzel Burke, Josh Fryar, TreVeyon Henderson, Will Howard, Donovan Jackson, Lathan Ransom, Jack Sawyer and Tyleik Williams.
Five other members of the football team also graduated from Ohio State on Sunday: Casey Magyar, Zen Michalski, Jace Middleton, Chad Ray and Toby Wilson.
Multiple Olympians also got their certificates. Hunter Armstrong, who concluded his college swimming career with the Buckeyes in 2022, earned his degree via Ohio State’s degree completion program just months after winning one gold and one silver medal at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. Fencer Diego Cervantes also competed at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.
Two-time women's hockey national champion Kenzie Hauswirth, who scored the game-winner for the program's first championship in 2022, is among those graduating on the women's side. Emily Londot, who is one of just two players in program history to record 2,000 career kills, 2,000 career points and 1,000 career digs, earned her degree after a career as a three-time All-American for women's volleyball.
Six members of the Ohio State men’s soccer team that just made a run to the NCAA semifinals earned degrees on Sunday, including first-team All-Americans Michael Adedokun and Siggi Magnusson. Kailyn Dudovich, a first-team All-American in women's soccer, was one of three members of her team to graduate on Sunday.
Former Ohio State men’s basketball player Dale Bonner, who played for the Buckeyes last season after transferring to OSU from Baylor, earned a master’s degree in sports coaching.
