When tickets for Ohio State's College Football Playoff matchup officially became on sale last week, prices on the secondary market soon saw an inflation.
Despite an Ohio State spokesman saying tickets for the general public were supposed to start at $100 each, the starting price for most tickets as recently as the beginning of this week was more than $200.
One day before kickoff, prices have dropped substantially on most secondary markets, with the cheapest tickets starting at less than $100 before taxes and fees on websites such as SeatGeek and StubHub.
It's unclear what specifically is driving down the price, but low temperatures for Saturday's game may be a factor, with the temperature supposed to be in the low 20s. There may be more seats generally reserved for students available to the general public as well considering students are on winter break.
Either way, if you were waiting to see prices drop significantly before deciding to go, this is your opportunity.
