Will Howard continued to share his gratitude for his time as a Buckeye on Friday night.

The now-legendary Ohio State quarterback posted a thank-you message to his Ohio State coaches, teammates and fans Friday night on social media. In the nearly two-minute video, Howard said his year as a Buckeye was “so much more” than he even dreamed it would be, citing the “unbelievable friendships” he made with his Ohio State teammates, the development he received from Ohio State’s coaches and the love he received from Ohio State fans.

You can watch Howard’s video at the top of the page or read the transcript of what he had to say below.

“I believe that everything in life happens for a reason, and that God has a plan for all of us. And I am eternally grateful that my plan led me here to The Ohio State University,” Howard said. “When I first came in here to Ohio State, I had dreams of competing for a national championship, developing as a player and hopefully going on to the NFL. Little did I know, walking away from this experience, I'd get so much more.

“The faith of the men in the locker room has moved me more than they could even imagine, and has strengthened my faith throughout this whole year, and throughout, really, everyone in the locker room. Through all the dog days of the offseason, in the weight room with Coach (Mickey Marotti), we made some unbelievable friendships that I will cherish and I know will last for the rest of our lives.

“Thank you, Coach (Ryan) Day, for believing in me, when not a lot of others did. Thank you, Coach (Chip) Kelly, for pushing me to be the best that I can be every single day. I've got to give so much credit to those two guys, and Billy Fessler is one of the guys that doesn't get a lot of credit, too; he did an unbelievable job developing me this year. And thank you to all the other coaches and staff that helped in my development here at The Ohio State University.

“And finally, thank you to Buckeye Nation for embracing me from day one. Thank you for taking me in and embracing me as one of your own. I will be a Buckeye for life. O-H!”
