Former Ohio State offensive lineman Ben Christman died last week of natural causes, according to his obituary on Akron's Hummel Funeral Home website.
Christman's obit states the 21-year-old died in his sleep on Feb. 11 in Las Vegas from unspecified natural causes. He died one day before his 22nd birthday.
A four-star prospect out of Revere High School in Richfield, Ohio, Christman committed to Ohio State in June 2020 and signed with the Buckeyes that December. He spent the next two years in Columbus, appearing in a game against Indiana as a redshirt freshman. Christman transferred to Kentucky after spring practice in 2023 and later transferred to UNLV in December 2024.

"Those who knew Ben will remember him for his joyful spirit, kind heart and unshakeable commitment to those around him," Christman's obituary states. "He leaves behind a family who adored him, friends and teammates who admired him, and a community who will forever cherish the impact he made during his brief time with us."
Visiting hours will be Thursday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at St. Sebastian Catholic Church in Akron. A memorial service will be at the church at 10 a.m. on Friday.
