A member of Ohio State’s 2014 national championship team has died.
Former Ohio State defensive tackle Donovan Munger, who played for the Buckeyes from 2013-15, has passed away, his mother announced Thursday on Instagram.
Munger was 30 years old. A cause of death has not been announced.
A four-star recruit out of Shaker Heights, Ohio, Munger played in 11 games in 2014 and 12 games in 2015 as a backup defensive tackle. His football career ended in 2016 due to blood clots, which also forced him to redshirt his true freshman season after he was diagnosed with a pulmonary embolism in his lungs.
