On a lovely day in Columbus, fans came out in droves to watch a glorified scrimmage on a youth-heavy team led by Urban Meyer.
Gray topped Scarlet, 28-17, behind three touchdown passes by redshirt freshman quarterback Joe Burrow. Afterward, the players and coaches joined those students still in attendance for the traditional rendition of Carmen Ohio.
Ohio State opens its 2016 season Sept. 3 against Bowling Green in Columbus.
