TreVeyon Henderson will miss his fourth full game of the year as the sophomore rusher was listed among the eight Buckeyes unavailable for Saturday's matchup with Michigan in Columbus. Henderson missed two straight games before returning to action against Maryland last week, but didn't look fully healthy as he finished the game in a walking boot after rushing for just 19 yards on 11 carries.
However, Ohio State rushing leader Miyan Williams appears to be healthy enough to play in The Game. Williams was carted off the field in the second quarter of Ohio State's Nov. 12 game against Indiana after suffering an apparent leg injury and subsequently missed last week's matchup with the Terps. But the third-year running back was not listed on the Buckeyes' official status report Saturday morning.
Ohio State may or may not have Matt Jones available, as the Buckeyes' starting right guard is listed as a game-time decision after being carted off the field with an injury in the fourth quarter of last week's contest in College Park. If Jones is unable to play, either Enokk Vimahi or Josh Fryar could take his place on the starting offensive line.
Besides Henderson, Ohio State will also be without Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who will finish the regular season with just three game appearances for the Buckeyes. Smith-Njigba suffered a hamstring injury in the season opener, and although he made multiple efforts to return to the field against Toledo and Iowa, the record-setting receiver won't play in The Game.
Michigan does not release an official pregame status report of injured players, but according to Fox Sports’ Bruce Feldman, injured running back Blake Corum is expected to play though he could be limited after suffering a knee injury last week. Tight end Luke Schoonmaker, second-string running back Donovan Edwards, wide receiver AJ Henning and left guard Trevor Keegan are also expected to return after missing time with injuries.
SOURCES: Michigan star RB Blake Corum is expected to try and play today but likely will be limited with how dynamic he is (knee); TE Luke Schoonmaker, UMs second-leader receiver, is good to go; Donovan Edwards; WR AJ Henning and OG Trevor Keegan are also expected to return.
