Maltais has been sensational in her debut season. She leads all Ohio State players in points (17). She is tied with teammate Maddy Field for the lead in the WCHA scoring race with 14 points in conference games.
The Burlington, Ontario native contributes nearly every night out. She has points in 11 of the Bucks' 14 games this season. Unsurprisingly, she was a factor in both outings last week.
Maltais assisted on Julianna Iafallo’s game tying tally on Friday. She kicked off the scoring in Saturday’s win with a solo effort. Later she added an assist on Iafallo’s go-ahead goal.
Iafallo (2-1--3) earned an honorable mention for the conference's Offensive Player of the Week award. Buckeye blueliner Jincy Dunne (0-1--1, four blocks) picked up another honorable mention for Defensive Player of the week.
