INDIANAPOLIS – The Ohio State women's basketball team won its first Big Ten Tournament title since 2011 on Sunday night, defeating Maryland, 79-69, in the tournament championship game at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
Kelsey Mitchell led the Buckeyes to victory, and earned Most Outstanding Player honors for the tournament, as Ohio State earned its sixth Big Ten Tournament title in school history while handing Maryland its first-ever Big Ten Tournament loss since joining the conference.
