Imagine: Your family is enjoying a nice home-cooked meal when federal agents bust down the door and whisk grandpa, who is actually a fugitive killer, away to another state.

Granted, I don't know the details, but I assume an Ohioan on the lam since 1959 and apprehended in Florida built himself another life.

From the Associated Press:

A statement from the [U.S. Marshalls] says 79-year-old Frank Freshwaters, of Akron, was found guilty of voluntary manslaughter for killing a pedestrian with his car in 1957. He initially received a suspended sentence but was imprisoned in 1959 for a parole violation. He fled the honor camp in northwest Ohio later that year.

The statement says Freshwaters was arrested in West Virginia in 1975, but the governor refused to extradite him and he again went into hiding.

No matter where you go: The long arm of Ohio justice will find you.
