Travis Shaw didn't go to Ohio State, instead taking his talents to Kent State University where he clubbed a MAC-leading 14 home runs in 62 games in 2011.
He hails from Washington Court House, Ohio, though, and after trekking through six minor league teams in his baseball career, is now getting his shot with the Boston Red Sox at first base.
And, he never forgets where he's from each time he heads to the plate:
