Folks, did you see the big game this weekend? One team thought they we're going to win, but get this—it switched! The team that was up early actually lost the game.

College basketball: Where the unexpected becomes the ordinary!

Somebody let Cheatin' Jim Boeheim into the Final 4, which is kinky stuff if you're into zone defense and incorrigible scrooges. At least Oregon(!?) exposed Lyin' Mike Krzyzewski. If the NCAA were real North Carolina would've been ejected at the door

Like Muhammad Ali, I ain't got no quarrel with Villanova, but I am riding with Buddy Hield. If I'm riding on an apocalyptic bandwagon then it's the one stocked with a .50 caliber.

War Damn Buddy.

A TITLE IS A TITLE. Remember the days when powerful kids would hit gainers at the pool? Apparently their powers grew to a point they earned a college scholarship.

From dispatch.com:

Every time Colin Zeng dived into the water on Saturday, his nose gushed blood.

Given what was at stake, the Ohio State sophomore wasn’t going to let it deter him.

In second place headed into his final dive, Zeng executed a nearly flawless one to win the NCAA men’s platform diving championship at Georgia Tech’s McAuley Pool on Saturday.

He became the first Ohio State diver to win a diving national championship since 2008.

His coach said Zeng bled like "a stuck pig" after every dive, which is human toughness that turns my baby blogger guts into warm pudding. But there's no doubt nose bleeds are worth a lifelong memory.

WADE LOOKS LIKE A PROBLEM. Here's a photo from January 2015:

Makes sense

And here's 2017 five-star CB commit Shaun Wade at an AAU tournament this past weekend:

Trinity Christian's last DB to commit to Ohio State, Ben Edwards, ended up at Stanford. Hopefully Wade finally allows me the chance to scream "Duuuval!" after a big Buckeye play. (When spindling opinions every day about Ohio State football, you must find enjoyment in the little things.)

ONE WEIRD TRICK TO IMPRESS A DATE. Have y'all heard of this multi-platform game called MineCraft? (That collective groan is from parents of young addicts.)

I've never played it, but basically you mine fake computer minerals and build things. But people can also take them away? I don't know. People go insane for it and Russian hackers are using it to phish your credit card from your kids right now.

As proof of how people serious people are about this game, here's Ohio Stadium... in Minecraft:

I'm impressed... but I'm also terrified.

NO RECRUIT'S REMORSE. Antonio Williams took Kareem Walker's vacated spot in the 2016 class and early enrolled in Columbus. The North Carolinian appears to be enjoying his new life:

Jim Harbaugh's development of Kareem Walker vs. Urban Meyer's development of Antonio Williams will be interesting to watch. The good news for Ohio State fans is our team employs the guy that turned a fat unmotivated running back into a second round pick and chose small-time Ezekiel Elliott over Derrick Green.

DEAN: IT'S ALL GOOD. As mentioned Saturday, former Ohio State CB signee Jamel Dean could start opposite former Ohio State CB commit Carlton Davis down in Auburn. Though Dean lost a year of eligibility due to lack of medical clearance, there are no hard feelings with how things ended.

From al.com:

"I don't hold any grudges," Dean said. "At first I thought my football career was over with. Then once I got the second opinion from Dr. [James] Andrews, I just took the opportunity to play football again."

[...]

"I've been waiting a long time for this, almost a year, ever since I transferred over," Dean said. "It felt like I didn't get the experience to play football until now.

Unfortunately this won't stop Michigan fans using this as as defense when Harbaugh waxes a third of his 2017 class two weeks before NSD.
