WALLETS ON THE TABLE, MICHIGAN. As a child of the 1990s (the best decade in American history), I specifically remember Michigan profiting on the blood of Ohio.
My oh my, how the mighty have fallen in under two decades. In 2018, Urban Meyer is 6-0 vs. Michigan and casually kicking doors in Detroit in effort of finding the next Mike Weber.
From detroitnews.com:
Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer was back in Detroit on Wednesday, taking a trip to King High School to start recruiting on the 2019 class and beyond.
Meyer has gotten his share of quality athletes from the metro area in past years, including defensive back Damon Webb of Detroit Cass Tech, running back Mike Weber of Cass Tech and offensive tackle Michael Jordan of Plymouth, who became the first true freshman to start on Ohio State’s offensive line since Pro Football Hall of Famer Orlando Pace in 1994.
All three played key roles on Ohio State’s Big Ten championship team this past fall with Webb getting in on 61 tackles while leading the Buckeyes with five interceptions, Webber rushing for 626 yards (6.2 average) and 10 TDs and Jordan helping them average 41 points and 506 yards of total offense.
As Jim Harbaugh scrambles to secure the 16th best class in the country (a stat I definitely didn't have to google), Meyer is already working on his 2019 class while trying to nail down the No. 1 class of 2018.
COOMBS WASN'T LOOKING. Kerry Coombs is off to Tennessee. I didn't want to believe it either, but it's true.
Coombs wants us to know he wasn't looking for a promotion. The promotion just came to him.
From cincinnati.com:
“It went really fast,” Coombs said. “I wasn't looking. I really wasn't thinking about it. I love my job at Ohio State. I love my players. I love coach Meyer. I love everything about it. I've coached 36 years and every single day has been in the state of Ohio, so it'll be the first time outside. It's really interesting for me.”
[...]
So off he went into uncharted waters – but not necessarily unfamiliar. Football is football. But this is the highest form of it, so why not reach beyond any expectation? To a degree, that is all he has been doing since 2007 when that 8-year-old’s dream of teaching in a high school classroom was not just fulfilled but expanded upon in new ways.
“Winning a Super Bowl," he said of the new goal. "That's it. That's why I came. I won a state championship, I won a national championship and to win a Super Bowl, that's going to be something very few guys have done. That's why I'm coming. That's why I took the job. It's the highest level of football in this profession and I want to be part of a staff that wins a Super Bowl and I'm excited about that opportunity."
(The true news here is the Enquirer covering Ohio State, am I right?!)
I don't like the Titans. And I don't particularly like Vrabel poaching Coombs unless he's going to lead Ohio State to a national title after Urban Meyer retires. But if the Titans win the Super Bowl, I will take solace in Coombs contributing to that.
HOLD THIS L, PENN STATE. Childhood is a wild time. You already hold convictions you'll carry for the rest of your life. But you also carry convictions at which you'll laugh for the rest of your life.

Destiny... it's a helluva drug.
ANESTHESIA... ALSO A DRUG. It has been roughly ~310 million years since "David After Dentist," but I'll be damned if after-surgery videos still aren't hilarious.

At this point, it's all down hill for Conley after his season-ending heel injury.
RIP PENN STATE. It's over for Penn State wrestling, baby.
