Earlier yesterday, Jimbo Fisher quite succinctly told the world that he was going to beat Nick Saban's ass (in football, to be clear).
The Prince of Darkness responded with exactly what we were all thinking.
"In golf?" *laughs* "Is that what he was talking about? In football?

Word of the Day:
READ A BOOK. Seth Towns would love to hear any and all of your #takes – provided that you simply read a book first.
On May 15 at 2 p.m., the Northland product, Harvard graduate and Ohio State grad student and basketball player will conduct the first meeting of his online book club. Open to all, the “Better Booklist” will focus on books that, in the words of Towns, analyze current conditions, reject the status quo and force readers to be critical of the structures that perpetuate oppression.
That might sound like a lot, but the goal is actually pretty straightforward: read, and discuss, issues related to racial injustice.
“So often the most ignorant people are the loudest in the room,” Towns said. “It’s so funny how people have these strong and passionate opinions about something that they haven’t really analyzed very much or thought critically about. If you have something to say, then read a book I’m suggesting and then come back and talk to me.”
So basically, it would seem that Seth is asking people to simply be thoughtful, informed and deliberate before engaging with him online, which is... best of luck Seth!
Worth noting, please do not give *me* any of your hot takes on these matters in the comments – I am not the one asking for them. Read the book, then give them to Seth. Thank you.
“SLOW START.” You might remember that Trey Sermon didn't get going until the very end of the season last year.
... or did he?
See, in any normal season, as Tony Alford explains, Sermon's surge wouldn't have come in the postseason or the final game of the regular season, it would have come in game five or six – not even midway through the season.
And I say this too, because you hear, “well, he had a slow start.” A lot of running backs have finished great. Like J.K. Dobbins. He rushed for 2,000 yards. You look at Zeke Elliott’s first year, when he really came into his own and blew it up at the end of the year and beat Alabama and they beat Oregon.
He really didn’t start smoking until game seven, and then he just took off. A lot of guys really don’t start hitting their stride until about midseason. They really start that rise. When you look at Trey, people say, “he didn’t really start to do anything until the end of the season.”
The end of the season was really game six because we had all of those cancellations. So, the first three games — does everyone wish there would have been more spark early? Yeah, of course — but really when he started hitting his stride was about game four, which was Michigan State.
He ain't wrong. If you look at the numbers, Ezekiel Elliott didn't have his first 100-yard performance until the fourth game of the 2014 season. Sermon's first 100-yard game came in game five. Problem was, "game five" last year was on Dec. 5.
I'm just trying to wrap my head around how terrifying that offense would have been if he hit his final form before the midpoint of the season.
They really might have hung 100 on Michigan. Or everyone else.

WORLD'S STRONGEST TEEN? What were you doing when you were 15 years old? Cause I guarantee you it wasn't deadlifting 630 pounds for fun.

When I was 15 years old, the heaviest thing I regularly picked up and put down was my Xbox controller. But I'll tell you what, I would have WORKED him at Halo 3.
