In an absolutely incredible stroke of timing, Ohio State's quarterbacks will be meeting with the media this afternoon (minus Quinn Ewers, regrettably, because he is not yet enrolled, despite previous reports).
I'm praying to the #content gods that someone pulls a Tate Martell and adds some excitement to my Tuesday.
“This dude hasn't put a single second into Ohio State football. I don't know why somebody would think that the grass is greener on the other side, but I guess he's kind of looking at it like a fantasy way, I guess.”

EVERYTHING IS FINE AND GOOD. Here's a live look at me all day yesterday reading comments from Ohio State fans bitching about The Local Team landing the highest-rated player in program history a year early.
Seriously, I've heard this move unironically described as a "nightmare," a "disaster," a "complete train wreck," etc. Those comments would be totally appropriate if Ohio State's entire QB room got hit with a smart bomb, but that's not what's happening here.
No, these comments are about the Buckeyes having three five-star quarterbacks with freshman eligibility on the roster at the same time. Try telling literally any other program in the country that this is a "disaster" and they'll laugh their ass off.
Look, I get it. It's not necessarily ideal that the Buckeyes will probably only get three years of playing time out of these four quarterbacks. I grant you that it certainly would have been nice to have the nice, clean transition of Stroud for two years followed by Ewers for two years. But all of you acting like this absolutely ruins Ohio State's future at the position are insane.
What about Ryan Day's recruiting or handling of the position up to this point convinces you this is going to be a problem? He literally just put three five-star freshman quarterbacks on the roster at the same time and y'all are worried about the future?
Sure, this moves up the timeline a bit, but at the end of the day, Ohio State's going to have a sweet quarterback for at least three years (and Ryan Day's shown no problem playing the best guy). And then after that, they'll just, I don't know, sign another five-star quarterback.
As far as I know, there will be five-star quarterbacks in 2023 and 2024, too. So step off the ledge, the Buckeyes are going to be just fine.
BLAME THE VIBE. If you were grasping at straws searching for a reason why Jaheim Singletary chose to decommit from the one true and good college football team, now we have an extremely simple, yet at the same time esoteric explanation: the vibes were off.
Singletary had never been to Ohio, so the visit was going to tell him a lot about his feelings towards Ohio State.
That is where things changed.
“I love the coaches at Ohio State and it is a great school with great players, but the feeling there was just different,” said Singletary. “That is why visits are so important. The vibe at Ohio State just didn’t match me.
“I had that feeling in my gut before I left for the trip. I am not sure what it was, but I just didn’t have the feeling I needed to have on the visit. Before I left Columbus that I knew I was going to re-opened my recruitment.”
For what it's worth, Singletary does not seem to believe the vibes will ever be right at Ohio State, because he says he's no longer considering the Buckeyes.

For those doubting Ewers' marketability on the NIL market as a backup quarterback fresh out of high school, you don't see anybody else getting this sort of attention from the best quarterback in the NFL, much less a kid who is supposed to be entering his senior year of high school.
This is like LeBron James tweeting at Zion Williamson. And I think he would have done just fine for himself under these NIL rules, too.
YOU SHALL NOT PASS. Whoever lines up under center for the Buckeyes this year, I think it's safe to say they aren't going to have to worry about their pass protection.

The craziest part is that he accounted for is only slightly fewer penalties (0) than he allowed pressures last season. But he'll have to settle for second place in that department since his teammate also exists.
