I'm gonna be candid with y'all – I'm writing this Skull Session from the side of the road in my sixth hour of waiting for roadside assistance after blowing a tire.
Folks, AAA is useless. Spend your money on literally anything else.
This has been one hell of a past few days, to say the least. But here I am, blogging through it.
But hey, at least Dawand Jones exists.

Word of the Day: Hell.
CONGRATS, GRADS. The new NiL rules are the talk of college football these days, but a couple of Buckeyes got a different kind of paper this weekend – and Master Teague even earned himself a unique honor.
Thank you @PresKMJohnson for the great honor of speaking amongst a great group of people! #GoBucks https://t.co/XGm1sneDJM

Just a kid I always wanted to go to college and play football. I also told my mom that I will get my degree before doing anything else and I kept my promise. Today I got my degree at The Ohio State University and defeated the odds!! Thank you for all of your support. Go Bucks!! pic.twitter.com/jbKtAZ58CX

Also, today I learned that Thayer Munford's middle name is "LeBron," which makes me feel a type of old I was not prepared to feel.
DBU. This should come as no surprise to anyone with a working brain, but Ohio State has been officially crowned DBU.
Defensive Back U
The winner: Ohio State Buckeyes
The Buckeyes' DB Mount Rushmore
Antoine Winfield
Jack Tatum
Mike Doss
Malcolm JenkinsTatum's nickname in the NFL was "The Assassin" because he hit so hard. He was one of the great safeties for Ohio State, was an All-American twice in his career and was eventually a first-round pick by the Oakland Raiders. He is among a long list of outstanding defensive backs that have played for Ohio State, which made it difficult to land on these four. Shawn Springs, Mike Sensibaugh and a handful of others could have been considered. The DBU distinction is only from 1998 and forward, but Ohio State's history with this position group is long and successful. -- Tom VanHaaren
It's hilarious to think that Ohio State's produced so much defensive back talent the past couple of decades that none of the eight DBs drafted in the first round since 2014 even made the cut for the Mt. Rushmore.
THAT'S MY QUARTERBACK(S). Ohio State is decidedly DBU, but Ryan Day is quickly turning it into QBU, and his former pupils are doing what they can to help that perception – even though one is a rookie and one is got unceremoniously released from his first team and is currently playing under a minimum salary.
This sounds like the Dwayne Haskins that made paper snowflakes out of Ohio State's passing record book:
Dwayne Haskins just keeps making throws. As in, all of them. Put up an absolutely beauty deep downfield ... that Dax Raymond allowed to slip through his fingers. Throw that thing to a non-Dax-Raymond, and we're all glowing about it.

And this is every bit of the Justin Fields that orchestrated the most exciting aerial offense since the Doolittle Raid:

I can't wait for the day when like a quarter of the league's starting quarterbacks are former Ohio State players. Counting Joe Burrow, there's a solid chance we see three in the near future. And I find it hard to believe there isn't at least one first-round pick on the Buckeyes' current roster.
Ryan Day is a wizard.
AIN'T GOING ANYWHERE. Jae'Sean Tate stole the hearts of the Rockets front office and fans alike, and he's getting properly rewarded.
The decision to guarantee Tate’s contract was directed by Rockets owner Tilman Fertitta, the individual familiar with the decision said, with Fertitta wanting to reward Tate but also to send the message that Tate’s determined play and attitude last season should be considered an example of the team’s priorities.
Candidly, with the way the Rockets drafted and the way they're structuring the team, I'm not sure Tate's going to have anywhere near the minutes he had last year going forward, or if he will even have a place in the team's future.
But if he keeps playing the way he did last season, it's going to be tough to justify keeping him off a roster.
