If there's one thing the Big Ten needed, it's one more weasel-like mascot. But rest easy, Illinois is on the case!
The university appears to be rolling out a new otter mascot, for some reason, cleverly named "Alma Otter."

I will say, the thing is undeniably cute and completely unthreatening, which probably makes it a perfect representation of their football team, which is 12-55 in Big Ten play the past eight years.
