I never really know what to make of spring practice. I want to get emotionally invested in the drama, particularly in a year that features a quarterback competition, but in general I have a hard time convincing myself that it really matters.

Here's the thing though: this set of spring practices was about a lot more than Dwayne Haskins and Tate Martell and Joe Burrow. In a lot of really significant ways, Ohio State is going to look a lot different in 2018 than they did in 2017, and spring ball showed exactly how different it might end up being.

To help navigate us through these goings on are our beat writers, Dan Hope and James Grega, who have had their eyes and ears trained directly on the goings on at the WHAC to help us understand what the Buckeyes are evolving into during year... uh, seven? Holy crap, yeah, year freaking seven of the Urban Meyer Experience.

Plus, Ask Us Anything wants to know how the NBA Finals are going to work out (you can ask us great questions like that one via Twitter or e-mail), and we take a look at Urban's new contract. If you enjoyed this week's podcast, please make sure to rate and subscribe on iTunes!

0:00 Chris Holtmann just landed a huge new commit, and guess what? It's new contract time! Urban is staying in Columbus until 2022, right? RIGHT???

17:15 Dan and James talk about how spring ball went down, including position battles to watch out for and stories you might've missed.

32:32 Ask Us Anything wants to know how Ohio State players in the NFL stack up against their peers when it comes to making an alumni team. Spoiler alert: the Buckeyes need a QB.

And that'll do it, thanks for listening and for supporting us through our Dry Goods store, thanks to Travis for his cool logo, and we'll see you next week!
