The spring game is what it is. I've intermittently enjoyed it in kind of an abstract sense, like a Jackson Pollock painting that I don't actually "get" but am willing to lie about to impress other people. It is a weird piece of performance art that for the team and the coaching staff, seems to be done with their eyes rolled and an annoyed sigh.
Which is kind of unfortunate! Because as I've said many times, for a lot of people this is the only time they'll ever get to see the team in person at Ohio Stadium. Those people deserve something more fun than two hand touch and a running clock in the second "half." I don't know what that something is, exactly, but really it's just a matter of throwing goofy crap at the fridge and seeing what sticks.
Anyway, as far as what we can actually learn from the spring game... well, that's why we brought in Stewart Mandel from The Athletic to help us figure this thing out. We get into Urban's longevity at Ohio State, the quarterback competition, and who the hell they're going to throw too. Plus, there's a little Demario McCall talk and heck, let's answer the sweet nothings you've whispered into our ears via Ask Us Anything (which you can do on Twitter or through e-mail).

0:00 The spring game! It's a thing! Also, Joe Burrow looked really good, so, uh... not sure where we go with that narrative all summer.
11:25 Urban or Harbaugh, who stays at their respective school longer? Mandel has Urban and we tend to agree.
33:16 Is Demario McCall an emerging star (finally) for Ohio State, or just another spring game superstar? Plus, Ask Us Anything lets us wax poetic about March Madness one last time. Oh, and don't forget that you can help pick the new Ohio State basketball court!
And that wraps us this week, thanks for listening and checking out our Dry Goods store, thanks to Travis for our cool, cool logo, and we'll see you all next time!
