One of the coolest, most mysterious things about the ironclad inevitability of college football player attrition is that every offseason makes you feel like Columbo, conducting an amiable but thorough investigation into the prime suspects in the biggest case of your life. Except, instead of people getting murdered by yuppies, it's whoever is going to be the starting quarterback for the Ohio State Buckeyes.
