This week George and I reveal that we are anxious, trembling men, cowering before the unknown. Shouldn't we, with strength and good grace, just accept that Ohio State might not have a confirmed starter at quarterback by the time the season starts? Shouldn't we stand tall and proud, like men??
No, I'm not going to do that. I'm not even going to learn from Michigan's success platooning quarterbacks in meaningless games last season. Instead, I'm going to take Kirk Herbstreit's prediction that this whole QB competition thing might drag way, way out with the appropriate dread it deserves, and then spend 15 minutes of the Dubcast talking about it.
Plus:
- It's easy and fun to dunk on the SEC for not scheduling more conference games, but also it isn't hurting their ability to win national championships, soooo...
- Ask Us Anything - which you can do at dubcast@elevenwarriors.com - wants to know if I've got history book recommendations. Brother, do I!
- Who steps up for the defense in 2023? Jim Knowles thinks C.J. Hicks might be the dude.
- Nick Saban complains about NIL. Again!
And that's it! Thanks as always for checking out the Dry Goods store and for following us on Twitter, and we'll see you next week!
