Confirmation bias is a hell of a drug. It's understandable that people don't want to believe that bad things will happen, because bad things are bad, and good things are better than bad. The problem is that the human experience is, in general, a decades-long lesson in learning to make sure that your shoes are tied before running on a treadmill.

The Michigan football world has spent the past year or so believing that the power of friendship and magical thinking would be enough to beat the cheating rap that has rapidly been built up around the program. And hell, maybe it was, sort of: they beat the Buckeyes and won a national title while fielding the corniest team in college football history.

But then everyone left, and Sherrone Moore was left trying to explain to NCAA investigators why he deleted 52 texts back and forth with the greatest tactical espionage practitioner this side of the Soviet KGB. So that's what the Dubcast wants to talk about this week, because it is funny and good. But wait, there's more!

  • Here's the other thing: Michigan fans have been paying money for writers to tell them exactly what they've wanted to hear for a while now. At some point they've gotta wake up, right?
  • Fall practice is here, hooray! And it looks like we've got a starter at QB, also hooray!
  • Ask Us Anything, which you can do by sending us questions to dubcast@elevenwarriors.com, wants to know about our pets! Our frustrating, incontinent pets.
  • Carmen's Crew didn't make it easy, but they still cashed that check.
  • Grass in Ohio Stadium??? What a time to be alive!
  • The B1G commercial lives, ensuring that our lives have meaning.

And that'll do it for the Dubcast this week, thanks for listening and checking out our Dry Goods store! Don't forget to check us out either here, on YouTube, or visit our Transistor page for links to other listening options such as Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and more.

See you next week!
