About 10 or 12 years ago I wrote an article for this very website, complaining about a lack of bowl games in the northern latitudes of the United States. Made a whole-ass MS Paint map, too, with the Mason-Dixon line serving as a general rule of thumb for where good ol' southern teams refuse to play football after mid-October. And then I waited, and waited, and waited. And my patience paid off.
Thanks to the new and improved College Football Playoff, southern teams are now being forced to trudge up North and play in the ass end of December. I love it!

Ha ha ha! Welcome to hell, Vols! While George and I don't actually think that the weather is going to benefit one team over the other, I do know that with the windchill it's going to be in the lower teens and everyone is going to have a bad time! Especially us, if Ohio State loses! We hope that doesn't happen!
This week, the Dubcast talks about the impending Tennessee game, predicts all the non-playoff bowls, and gives some Heisman hot takes. Check it out:
- Probably not a huge shock that your offensive line cohesion suffers when you lose the Rimington Award winner. Plus: some other, fairly obvious winners of postseason accolades.
- Tennessee stuff, such as: ketchups are go, Bjork gives Ryan Day a vote of confidence (because he has to), Vols sniping ticket presale, the weather (again, everyone will be cold, we get it), and the false flag of flag planting legislation.
- Ask Us Anything, which you can do at dubcast@elevenwarriors.com, is curious about what would constitute a successful season at this point for Ohio State. It's a fair question!
- Predicting all the bowls! Almost all of the bowls! I still am only semi-joking when I say that I think at least a few of these are money laundering operations.
- Bad news in non-rev sports, and yes at this point I'm including men's basketball.
- Travis Hunter wins the Heisman, which is good because he was the best player in college football this season. Fight me about it.
- We're uhhh... not super optimistic about this one.
And that does it for the Dubcast this week! Watch the show now on YouTube above, listen via the mini player below or visit our Transistor page for links to other listening options such as Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and more.
