I guess we should be upset, or angry, or confused or something, but the truth is that I (Johnny Ginter) view coordinators leaving as part of the circle of life; win big games, lose big coaches, either to the NFL or for a bump in job status.
What makes the Jim Knowles news different is that it's a lateral move to an in-conference rival, which adds a spicy layer that people are understandably interested in dissecting. But also... not me? Honestly? Because if the dude is out, then the dude is out. Next man up!
And, Ohio State won a national championship! So while I would love to derail the entire Dubcast with being Big Mad about Jim Knowles, I can only promise to derail half the show with that. George and I get into men's basketball, Ask Us Anything, and the guys we're going to miss the most from this Ohio State football team.
- The whole saga is weird, but Ryan Day was smart to move past the drama and hopefully find the right replacement for Knowles
- Speaking of replacements, Matt Guerrieri is a name I'm starting to think that you'll be wanting to get more familiar with (and learn to spell)
- Goodbye, seniors!
- Ask Us Anything, which you can do by sending us questions to dubcast@elevenwarriors.com, wants to know our offseason plans
- Men's basketball fever! Catch it!
- Who are we going to miss the most from this Ohio State team?
And that does it for the Dubcast this week! Watch the show now on YouTube above, listen via the mini player below or visit our Transistor page for links to other listening options such as Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and more.
Thank you for listening, check out the Dry Goods store (with new championship gear!), and we'll see you next time!
