Friday afternoon, Ohio State outlined construction plans – some approved, some seeking approval – to Ohio Stadium, The Schottenstein Center, Cannon Drive, Covelli Arena and more.

Ohio Stadium will gain new suites and boxes for fans as well as refurbished concrete for the aging C-Deck stands. The $39-million project is seeking approval and is expected to be finished by fall of 2020 – in time for kickoff.

Ohio State is also seeking approval for a $31.5 million renovation project to the Schottenstein Center. The project's goal is to "expand the concourse and add more natural light to the building while also improving access to ticket offices and to the team store." The renovations should be finished in February of 2018.

Ohio State also announced the site of Covelli Multi-Sport Arena, which will house the volleyball, fencing, gymnastics and wrestling teams, will no longer be the corner of Fred Taylor Drive and Ackerman Road. Instead, Covelli Arena will be combined with Jennings Family Wrestling Practice Facility and will be located north of Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium.

Cannon Drive will also see major renovations. From an Ohio State release:

Ohio State is seeking approval on $31.2 million for construction on the $51.5 million Cannon Drive relocation project, which is a partnership with the city of Columbus. The project will straighten the road between King Avenue and Herrick Drive and will protect the university from a historic flood and open up approximately 12 acres of developable land. The university is sharing costs with the city of Columbus. Parking plans at the medical center related to the project are still under development.

Ohio State’s Board of Trustees will consider these plans when it meets for its November session next week. The Board will also discuss renovations to the Mirror Lake restoration project, the expansion of the Ohio State veterinary hospital and renovations to Bricker Hall.
