Those who leave...

At long last, a Michigan coordinator is leaving Ann Arbor unbeaten against the Buckeyes.

... he just happens to be winless, too.

Just four months after he was hired to help fix the Wolverine defense, co-defensive coordinator Mo Linguist is leaving Michigan to become the head coach at Buffalo.

Based on the rumblings from the recruiting circles, it seems this will almost certainly cause five-star cornerback commit Will Johnson (a one-time top Ohio State target) to reconsider his future with the Wolverines.

You just hate to see that.

“Beat his ass” in... what?

It's tough to call it "beef," because it was more lighthearted ribbing from two longtime friends, but Jimbo Fisher and Nick Saban sure gave us something to talk about this week.

It started when Fisher was asked by a fan the key to beating Alabama besides Saban retiring.

Fisher got right to the point: “We’re going to beat his ass even when he’s there.”

Saban – like most of us, no doubt – was puzzled about what sport he was even talking about. After all, it's not like Jimbo has even come close in four tries, so far.

To be clear, Saban would probably wax his ass on the links, too.

Prayers up, Texas

Regretfully, not all news was lighthearted this week.

The Texas football community suffered a massive loss as Longhorn linebacker Jake Ehlinger, the little brother of former Texas quarterback Sam Ehlinger, was found dead on Thursday afternoon.

All our thoughts and prayers are with the Ehlinger family and the Longhorn community.

Hey, Ohio State's receivers room will be absolutely loaded in 2021

Colin Hass-Hill looks at how ridiculously stacked Ohio State's wide receivers unit will be even after the departure of former top-100 prospect Jameson Williams, who started every game last season.

This year's All-Buckeye NFL roster might be the best one yet.

Dan Hope put together an active roster made up only of former Ohio State players, and it's probably the most talented all-Buckeye team yet.

The quest for double-digit draft picks. Again. And Again.

Ohio State was the only team to produce double-digit draft picks in the past two NFL Drafts. They could become the first team ever to do it in four straight drafts. Colin Hass-Hill tells us how it could happen.
