Archie Miller's time at Indiana is over.
The school has announced Miller's termination four mediocre seasons as the Hoosiers' head coach in which Indiana did not play in a single NCAA Tournament game. He leaves with a 67-56 overall record, posting losing conference records in three of his four seasons with one .500 season.
“In the days following the completion of our season in the Big Ten Men's Basketball Tournament, I have spent a great deal of time evaluating our recruiting, student-athlete development, leadership development, and playing philosophy and strategy,” Indiana athletic director Scott Dolson said in a statement. “That review, combined with the on-court results, ultimately led me to conclude that a change in leadership of our program is warranted at this time.”
Miller, of course, was many Buckeyes fans' first pick to replace Thad Matta after he went 139-63 with four NCAA tournament appearances in six seasons as Dayton's head coach. Instead, Ohio State hired Chris Holtmann, who has never missed an NCAA Tournament and had a 6-1 record against Indiana during Miller's tenure.
