Brady Norton decided to commit to Michigan as soon as he received his offer from Ohio State in December.

The former Cal Poly offensive tackle was offered by Ohio State on Dec .16, one day after he received an offer from Michigan. Norton didn’t like the fact that Ohio State waited until Michigan offered him to give him an offer, so the transfer offensive tackle committed to the Wolverines later that day.

He didn’t mince words when talking about his decision with reporters on Tuesday.

“They (Ohio State) called me in the hotel room of my visit here to offer me. But in my mind, they texted me before Michigan did really, and then just kind of ghosted me out of the blue. And all of a sudden when Michigan offered me, they wanted me now, so I kind of thought that was a little odd,” Norton said. “Then I just came here and I was like, yeah, it's home. Fuck those guys.

“I took the offer obviously, but then once I kind of hung up, I was thinking about it and just committed here. I didn't say anything to them, just posted my Michigan commitment and don't gotta talk to them ever again.”

Norton, who also took a dig at Ohio State in his commitment post by crossing out the “o” in the word “Committed,” said he doesn’t fully hate Ohio State yet because he just arrived at Michigan this semester, but he’s looking forward to playing the Buckeyes when they travel to Ann Arbor in November.

“I don't have as much of the hatred and the rivalry in my blood as these guys who have played for the program for many years. I'm assuming once that week comes, I'll definitely start feeling it, but I don't really have that pure hatred of blood quite yet,” Norton said. “I know it'll happen because The Game, it's called The Game, but I definitely will get that sooner or later.”

Norton, who was Cal Poly’s starting left tackle last year, is competing for a starting offensive tackle job at Michigan this offseason.

Ohio State went on to sign two of the top offensive tackles who entered the transfer portal this winter, Ethan Onianwa (Rice) and Phillip Daniels (Minnesota). Onianwa is projected to be Ohio State’s starting left tackle this season while Daniels is competing with Austin Siereveld and Ian Moore to be the Buckeyes’ starting right tackle.
