Indiana is standing behind its men's basketball coach.
Despite rumors of an impending coaching change, Mike Woodson will return to lead the Hoosiers for the 2024-2025 season, according to a report from Zach Osterman of the Indianapolis Star.
The Hoosiers have struggled this season, only posting a 16-13 record so far with a 8-10 record in Big Ten play. In Woodson's three years at Indiana, he's amassed a 60-39 overall record. His best season came last year, where he led the Hoosiers to a second-place finish in the Big Ten and to a Round of 32 appearance in the NCAA tournament.
Woodson's retainment may have an impact on Ohio State's coaching search, as Florida Atlantic University coach Dusty May has been connected to both the Buckeyes' opening and the Hoosiers gig if it were to come open. May, who led FAU to a Final Four appearance last season, is an Indiana alumnus.
On Monday, national college basketball analyst Jeff Goodman predicted May would be OSU's next head coach.
I think the next head coach at Ohio State is Dusty May. -@GoodmanHoops
