Next month, the college football world will hear from Connor Stalions.

On Monday, Netflix announced that Stalions — the former Michigan football staffer who operated a sign-stealing operation the NCAA once told the Big Ten it "could prove" occurred — will be featured in a new documentary, "Sign Stealer," set to release on Aug. 27.

In the second of three UNTOLD episodes, Stalions "shares his side of Michigan's alleged sign-stealing scheme that turned him into a viral villain," Netflix revealed in a statement.

The Michigan sign-stealing scandal started last October when the program faced accusations that the Wolverines engaged in rule-breaking advanced scouting. Between 2021 and 2023, Stalions was alleged to have sent a network of associates to football games involving future opponents, instructing them to videotape the opponent's sideline in an attempt to decipher signals relayed to players on the field. Michigan compiled a 40-3 record, three Big Ten titles and a College Football Playoff national championship in those seasons.

Since his resignation last November, Stalions has not been interviewed about the scheme. His lone comment on the scandal, which came through his attorney, attempted to absolve then-Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh and his staff of involvement in the sign-stealing operation.

"To his knowledge, coach Harbaugh nor any other coach or staff member told anyone to break any rules or were aware of improper conduct," the attorney wrote in a letter.

Harbaugh, then-offensive coordinator and current head coach Sherrone Moore and then-defensive coordinator Jesse Minter have denied any knowledge of or involvement in the scheme. Linebackers coach Chris Partridge was fired last November as part of the investigation.
