Marcus Freeman might be moving up from Fickell/ UC as a d coordinator for LSU, Auburn, Notre Dame. If he lands at LSU he would replace Bo Pelini after he was pushed out after 1 season. He is expected to draw interest as a HC as well.
Freeman has been the Cincinnati defensive coordinator for each of the last four seasons. Prior to that he was the co-defensive coordinator at Purdue as a 29-year old. He coached linebackers at Purdue from 2013-15, coached linebackers for two years at Kent State (2011-12) and he began his career as a graduation assistant at Ohio State (2010).

Rumors of Fickell and Freeman being a package deal for a Power 5 program have circulated for years. I can't see Fickell moving on unless its for a high level tier 1 or 2 program after turning down the interest from MSU.
