7 women's teams made it to the tournament. Went 5-2 in the first round. 3 of those have moved on to the Sweet 16 and the other 2 are currently leading in their games. None of them lost in the first round when they were the higher seed. In the second round 2 of the 3 winners were lower seeds than who they were playing. Of the other two games one is the higher seed and leading comfortably and the other is a 7 seed (Northwestern) going up against a 2 seed (Louisville) in a close game but with the lead for now.
