I noticed something while listening to the announcers during the NW vs. MSU game...4 out of the 5 starting QBs in the preseason rankings are from southern California. CJ is from Rancho Cucamonga, Bryce Young is from Pasadena, DJ is from Inland Empire, and JT is from Irvine. The only QB whose team is ranked in the top 5 that isn't from southern California is Rattler at OU, and he is from Phoenix. I just found that to be an interesting coincidence. I know JT went to USC first and is now at UGA, but you gotta wonder how/why these guys weren't lured in by the hometown teams (USC and UCLA). I guess no one wanted to stay home. Once upon a time California kids mostly stayed home.
