DJ released his final top 150 prospects. Kind of a weird year with no top QBs, a weak top of the draft, and not deep at the end. However day 2 is supposedly very strong. Dj said he thinks the top 25 is weak, the bottom 25(of the 150) is weak, but the rest is all really really strong. Here are some of the interesting rankings and descriptions:
- Aidan Hutchins DE Michigan #1-DJ described Hutchinson as a "but but but" prospect. For some weird reason people keep trying to poke holes and say but this or but that. He is a freak athlete, with incredible production, and great intangibles. He projects to be a very good player at a premium position
- Sauce gardner CB UC #2-Very high for him but he has basically no flaws and the intagibles are reportedly great. Weird to see a UC player this high.
- Garrett Wilson WR OSU #4-Very high for Wilson and DJ expects him to go first in his position group. Says he projects very closely to Stefon Diggs.
- Travon Walker EDGE UGA #6-He is a big run stuffer with just freaky size/athleticism for a DE. Has the explosion to be a good pass rusher in the NFL. Only problem is he was bad at rushing the passer in college. He would be the least productive(sack % and pressure %) EDGE player to go in the top 3 since 2000 if he ends up top 3.
- Dereck Stingley CB LSU #12-Perfect freshman tape. Near perfect athletically. Everything else? yikes. Injury issues, was bad as a sophomore and junior, no physicality, and effort problems. But he has shown he can be great so who takes the gamble to get it out of him again.
- Chris Olave WR OSU #15-Polished and fast are a pretty good combo. Can he turn into a receiver 1 in the NFL?
- Dax Hill S Michigan #21-Honestly the recruiting side of this is more interesting. Hill committed to Michiga, flipped to Bama, then flipped back to Michigan within a few days. Looks like he ended up making a good choice.
- Charles Cross OT MSST #22-A lot of different opinions on him. Some have him top 10 DJ has him here.
- tyler Linderbaum C Iowa #27-Elite film, athlete, and intangibles. But he is light with trex arms. How far does he fall?
- Boye Mafe DE Minnesota #31-Little talked about prospect we played against. Pretty crazy how little attention he got.
- David Ojabo DE Michigan #49-Will likely miss the year after tearing his achilles. Who takes the gamble on a very good rusher who needs a redshirt.
- Logan Hall DT Houston #50-He has been connected to the Bengals. Really big 3T with good production and athleticism. Nothing that jumps off the resume but good all around prospect who can be versatile.
- NPF OT OSU #56-Probably the least hyped OSU draft prospect related to draft stock in awhile. He got abused by Michigan but overall had a really good career with pretty few flaws in his game. Probably wont be a pro bowler but could be an average starter.
- Daniel Faalele OT Minnesota #98-The first round buzz went away quickly but this is a career that will be fun to watch.
