Looks like Holtmann is bringing this guy in to focus specifically on the defense. Was an assistant coach for the Detroit Pistons this past year. The NCAA is allowing staffs additional assistants now, making this hire possible.
I don't know anything about him, but bringing in an NBA guy to help fix the defense feels like a big deal and great news for us. Let's just say I feel the exact opposite about this hire than I did when they promoted Netti haha
ADDITIONALLY - Looks like Bailey was in Boston from 2019-2021, so I'm guessing this hire comes with Brad Stevens approval. Perhaps this could be Holtmann's version of Mike Macdonald
