The former Buckeye forward spent his first year in the NBA rehabbing an ACL tear suffered in a Summer League game last July, but returned to action for the New Orleans Pelicans – who selected him 41st overall in the 2022 NBA draft – on Friday.
In a Summer League matchup with the Minnesota Timberwolves in Las Vegas, Liddell scored nine points on 4-of-6 shooting and corralled three rebounds in 20 minutes of action over the course of a 102-88 loss.
