6-0, 192...from Pittsburgh, PA...was a first-team Academic All-American last year...started all 12 games for a total of 297.5 minutes in 1974...Coach Hayes says of Baschnagel, "I have never met a finer person and have never coached a more willing athlete."...averaged 9.5 yards per carry in 37 tries last year...had a 64 yard run against Southern Methodist in 1974...has won three varsity football awards and has played in three Rose Bowl games.
The most versatile athlete on a talented squad...holds for extra points and field goals...led the team in pass receiving last year with 19 receptions for 244 yards and three touchdowns...an excellent blocker...an honor student majoring in finance...co-captain on offense...one of the hardest workers and most unselfish athletes on the squad.
NFL career per Wikipedia:
Baschnagel was selected by the Chicago Bears in the third round of the 1976 NFL draft. He was a receiver for the Bears for eight years and retired after the 1984 season. He wore jersey #84 with the Bears.
Contrary to popular belief, Baschnagel was not on the active roster in 1985 when the Bears went 18-1 en route to a Super Bowl victory. He injured his knee in training camp and spent the entire 1985 season on IR.
However he did travel with the team that year, assisted the coaches from the coaching booth, and helped in practice after he recovered from his injury. He did receive a Super Bowl ring after the Bears dominant victory.
Vincent Skillings, RB (1977-80)

Was a Pennsylvania finalist in the 100, 220 and 440 for Derry High...was an all-Pennsylvania running back and defensive specialist as a senior...a communications major.
