Happy Monday Eleven Warriors!
As the dog days of winter drag on and March Madness remains a few weeks away, let’s delve into college football and, specifically, the New Year’s 6 rotation of semifinal games.
Right now, it’s Rose and Sugar, Cotton and Orange, and Fiesta and Peach (due up in 2022). This week’s question asks which non-NY6 bowl you would like to see as part of the semifinal rotation.
There are several quality options that come to mind: Alamo Bowl in San Antonio, Holiday Bowl in San Diego, Gator Bowl in Jacksonville, and the Las Vegas Bowl.
In part because of its former Big Ten ties, I’m taking the Alamo Bowl in San Antonio. It has an underrated host city, above average weather for December, tradition, and isn’t overused as a host location.
