As a lifelong Ohio State fan who has been consistently backed into that old, familiar corner of cautious optimism and insufferable perfectionism year after year, I think it's good to acknowledge and celebrate the moments that really accentuate big wins like yesterday's.
A few of my favorites from the Penn State game were:
- TreVeyon Henderson absolutely trucking that dude a few yards downfield from the line of scrimmage on that Will Howard run that resulted in the endzone touchback fumble. Bummer result of course, but I encourage you to check out the replay of it and watch TreVeyon just decimate that dude. He better maintain his relationship with God, cause he's gonna need all the forgiveness he can get with hits like that.
- Davison Igbinosun's endzone interception. Not only super heads up and probably a liiiiiittle lucky -- but did you see that WR push off? He shoved IGB's whole face trying to create separation. And even still couldn't get him to detach -- love watching that dude play. I know he has gotten some heat here and there for PI's and playing too handsy, but I just love seeing him succeed.
- Cody Simon really reps that Block O well. Good number of times seeing a play that could have been scary for us get blown up quick by #0. Just seems like a heat-seeking missile out there sometimes, especially in the clutch.
What were your favorite moments from Saturday?
