Tressels, Fickells, Urbans, Days, Johnsons and Days,
My favorite 5 minutes and 13 seconds of Ohio State football in a long, long time.
Zeke did it too quickly.
I couldn't savor it.
How long did "85 yards through the heart of the South" take?
Maybe 12 or 13 seconds?
I was missing the other 5 minutes of pure enjoyment.
The final possession against Penn State was slow.
Every snap, every tick of the clock was delightful.
There wasn't anything Penn State could do to stop it.
I wished there was more time on the clock.
I wished the field was 200 yards long.
Some like the 70-yard touchdown bomb.
Others like the never-before-seen trick play.
Me?
I like watching my Buckeyes run right up the middle...
11 players in perfect,
repeated
synchronicity.
I like it even better
...in a top 5 match-up
...on the road in Satan's lair
...without your best offensive lineman
...missing your best blocking tight end
...shuffling your best guard out to tackle
...and inserting a forgotten sophomore waiting for redemption at guard.
There are only four regular season games remaining.
I wish there were more.
Touchdowns: Quinshon, Quinshon, Treyvon, Jeremiah Smith, Caleb Downs
