I was reading through the Chip Kelly post on the front page and stumbled across Bull1214's comment:

I defend a lot on here. I haven’t for one second tried to defend the game plan against TCUN. Day/Kelly are at their best when they are focused on what they do well and less so when they try to be what they think the fans want them to be. That’s what happened here, I think. The fanbase has their ear and THAT needs to stop instantly! Block out the noise and put the Buckeye players in position to shine. The end.

I feel Bull really has a point, here. Not only can we argue that Harbaugh/Gattis got in Day's head, I feel they got in our heads as well after experiencing consecutive losses to TTUN. We have to admit that an extremely large portion of this fanbase was clamoring for a "tough" football team, and whether or not we even knew how to define this, we seemed to get it in our heads that we needed that "three yards and a cloud of dust" type of offense where we could just run at will on our opponents.

Suddenly, when Day tries to do this against Michigan (yes, we can all easily agree that he should have abandoned the plan early when he saw "establishing the run" clearly wasn't working), he caught so much heat for not playing to our strengths and using our NFL wideouts more. We, as fans, changed position once we knew everything in hindsight and it was convenient for us to do so. 

While there is plenty of blame to go around with the coaches, we should hold ourselves accountable as well because I think at times, we also look silly.
