Walk-on defensive end Caden Davis confirmed Wednesday on Instagram that he is no longer with the Ohio State football team.
The Lantern reported Wednesday that Davis was dismissed from the program, though an Ohio State spokesperson did not confirm the reason for Davis’ removal from the roster. Davis said in his Instagram post that he is no longer with the team due to “changes in the NCAA and personal career reasons.”
Davis saw no playing time in two seasons with the Buckeyes but was known for posting behind-the-scenes content on his social media accounts. He was not with the team for its trip to the Cotton Bowl; after posting content on his Instagram that appeared to be from the Cotton Bowl but was actually from last year’s Cotton Bowl, Ohio State offensive tackle George Fitzpatrick replied to a since-deleted post saying “You don’t play here.”
