Justin Fields will have a new number in New York.
The former Ohio State quarterback and the Jets announced Friday that Fields will wear No. 7 this season after signing a two-year, $40 million deal with the Jets on Monday.

No. 7 will be the third jersey number for Fields at the NFL level. He switched from No. 1, the number he wore at Ohio State and with the Chicago Bears, to No. 2 when he was traded to the Pittsburgh Steelers last offseason.
