Ohio State had two athletes win individual Big Ten championships, including Lena Hentschel in the 1-meter dive (328.75) and Sienna Angove in the 400 IM (4:03.92). It was Hentschel's second year in a row winning the 1-meter dive, and Angove won the first gold medal of her collegiate career. Though there were only a few gold medal winners, the Buckeyes earned plenty of points throughout the meet by finishing in the top four of many events.

Coming into the meet, OSU was ranked No. 14 in the country, with three Big Ten teams (Indiana, Michigan and Wisconsin) ranked ahead of it.
This was the 10th conference title in program history for Bill Dorenkott's squad following a one-year Big Ten title drought.
