The Big Ten's Ohio State welcomed the ACC's Virginia for a key matchup in the B1G/ACC Challenge tonight in Columbus and the Buckeyes came up just short of the upset, falling 64-58 to Tony Bennett's Cavaliers.
Led by Marc Loving's 19 points, the Buckeyes rallied from multiple deficits but couldn't withstand a hot night of shooting from Virginia; the Cavaliers finished 50-percent from three-point territory.
The loss is the fourth straight by the Buckeyes–including three at home–and drops Thad Matta's team to 2-4 on the young season.
