In case you missed it, a team comprised of Ohioans, most of them Ohio State alumni, advanced to the semifinals of The Basketball Tournament this afternoon with a dominating 81-56 quarterfinals win over a Marquette alumni squad.

Eleven Warriors was able to GIF some of the action for those unable to watch on TV, or just wanted some highlights for posterity. The best highlight might have been this jam from David Lighty, one of his many big plays en route to player-of-the-game honors.

Most of the reactions came from Ohio State personalities, including Ohio State's official Twitter account for the hoops program.

New head coach Chris Holtman was delighted to watch an alumni squad comprised almost exclusively of players from his predecessor (Thad Matta) take charge against the Marquette squad.

Ohio State basketball great Clark Kellogg took a strong interest in the game today, praising the squad and David Lighty in particular.

David Lighty was Ohio State's player-of-the-game but most eyes were on Jared Sullinger. Scoonie Penn did not mince words after the game when he called Jared Sullinger the best player on the team and in the tournament. Sullinger will take his part of the $2-million-dollar purse should Scarlet & Gray win it all next week, but he's eyeing another NBA contract. Were it up to former teammate Isaiah Thomas, he'd at least get one from Boston.

For the record, @Jared_Sully0 is Jared Sullinger's Twitter account, not to be confused with @JJSullinger, the account of his older brother (and former Ohio State great in his own right).

The best exchange on social media about this game may have come between assistant coach Evan Turner and the official account for the TBT.

Evan Turner might low-key be the best Ohio State personality on Twitter.
