Ohio State has been the most well-represented program at The Opening Finals for two-consecutive years, sending an event-record 11 commits to the Nike Headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon, in 2016 and eight more last July.
And though the venue has been changed this year to the Dallas Cowboys’ practice facility in Frisco, Texas, the Buckeyes are officially on their way toward leading the nation again this summer after four-star offensive tackle commit Doug Nester became the first commit invited to the prestigious event on Tuesday evening.

The 6-foot-6, 295-pound Nester — who is considered the ninth-best offensive tackle and No. 55 prospect overall in the Class of 2019 — participated in the Nashville Regional last weekend, where observers dubbed him the most impressive lineman in attendance.
The camp series will make its way to Massillon Washington on May 5 for the Canton Regional. The Opening Finals, meanwhile, will be held June 30-July 3.
