Ohio State's 2025 class has shrunk by one.
Four-star Maryland cornerback Blake Woodby decommitted from OSU on Thursday, leaving the Buckeyes with 12 commitments in the class and two cornerback commits.

Per 247Sports' composite rankings, Woodby is considered the 66th-best overall prospect and No. 7 cornerback in the 2025 class.
His decommitment isn't terribly surprising considering the Buckeyes have commitments from the No. 1 and No. 2 cornerbacks in the 2025 class, Devin Sanchez and Na'eem Offord. Furthermore, it may make OSU more enticing for five-star cornerback target Dorian Brew, an Ohio native who is taking his time to explore other options in his recruitment. If the Buckeyes can land a commitment from Brew this summer, it would give them commitments from the No. 1, 2 and 4 ranked cornerbacks in the class.
Woodby was the first cornerback to commit to the Buckeyes in the 2025 class, giving his verbal on Oct. 14. He chose the Buckeyes over his other finalists Oregon, Alabama, Clemson and Tennessee.
Now, Woodby is reopening his recruitment to consider other schools.
He was offered by OSU on Dec. 12, 2022.
“I was a big Miami fan when I was younger, but as I started to understand football and the position I wanted to play, I realized Ohio State is DBU,” Woodby told Eleven Warriors shortly after he received his offer. “I want to play at the next level, and I want to watch the next level. I wanted to watch the best and they produce the best.
“Just growing up watching Ohio State and seeing all the guys they produce in the league as far as cornerbacks go, it’s just an ultimate level I want to reach one day. It means the world.”
